Arrival
Upon your arrival, you will be asked to fill out a short informational form. You will be asked the typical questions that all doctors ask. It is important the you relate as much about what is going on in your body as possible. Only you know what is happening in your body! Don't forget to mention any medications that you are currently on. Dress casual as you may be asked to lay down upon an examining table for the first Acupuncture Treatment.

No large meals or stimulating beverages 2 hours before or after Acupuncture. Avoid pain relieving substances immediately before or after the treatment. Try to rest and avoid excitement for several hours after your treatment. As with any type of therapy, once you start, you need to carry it through to the end in order to achieve the results!

Diagnosis
Dr. Xie will confirm the diagnosis by using both traditional, and modern methods. He will look at your eyes, tongue, skin color. He will take your pulse.  Based upon this information and the information you provided, Dr. Xie will decide if Acupuncture can help you.

The Needles
When you think of needles, you think of the visits to the pediatrician's office for vaccination shots. Those hurt! Acupuncture needles are not hypodermic needles.  Acupuncture needles are much thinner and are not hollow.  Dr. Xie uses only STERILE SINGLE USE ONLY Acupuncture Needles. That means that these Acupuncture Needles will be used ONLY ONCE and then disposed of.  Dr. Xie is an expert at inserting these needles to where you feel a slight "prick" at the skin.

Results
A high percentage of data presented at the National Institute of Health Acupuncture Research Conference 9U.S. Dept. H.E.W., N.I.H. Publ. no. 74 165 by an ad hoc committee on Acupuncture, concluded that Acupuncture can treat certain acute and chronic pain.

Insurance
Many Insurance Companies have honored claims for Acupuncture Therapy from a Medical Doctor. Check with your Insurance Company to see if its covered. If not, it's still worth the effort to relieve the pain and bring about good health. Acupuncture Fees have also been accepted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
